I knew of Sam Rosen in my early days in Chicago as one of the members of the art collective The Post Family. I'd go to all their events hoping to befriend one of them and eventually (because Chicago is a tiny town really) I got to meet Sam! He's pretty awesome, incredibly smart and throws a great dinner party.
